Steps to become an IAS officer :-
Candidate has to appear for UPSC Civil Services Exam in order to become an IAS officer . Eligibility criteria required to appear for civil services exam :- Nationality : Indian. Edu. Qualification :Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Age criteria : General category :21 years to 30 years .There is relaxation in upper age limit by 3 years OBC candidates : 21 years to 33 years . SC/ST candidates : 21 years to 35 years . PWD candidates :21 years to 40 years . No. of attempts : General category : 4 times under the creamy layer, OBC candidates : 7 times and SC/ST candidates : No limits . Exam process : *Preliminary Exam *Main exam *Personality Interview. |

I.A.S stands for the Indian Administrative Services and there is no special examination for this. The candidates have to qualify in the CSE ( Civil Services Examination) to get the recruitment as an I.A.S officer.
The eligibility to appear for the examination is the graduation passed candidates in any recognised discipline and the age between the 21-30 years can appear for the examination. The examination is conducted in the three stages and so it is necessary to qualify in all the stages. To qualify in the examination is not an easy task but if you will work hard you will definitely get the success in the examination. So, you need to start the preparation for the examination from now as according to the syllabus for the examination with the proper strategy to qualify. |

IAS (Indian Administratiom Service) is the entrance exam to appoint IAS officer.IAS Exam is conducted by UPSC.If you want to become a IAS , then you have to apply for IAS exam & have to qualify it with good score.
Eligibility Qualification You must have bachelor degree in any discipline from recognized university Age Limit Your age must be between 21 to 32 years for General Category.Relaxation applicable 3 years for OBC , 5 years SC/ST.Extra 10 years relaxation applicable to PH category. IAS stands for the Indian Administrative Services. To become an IAS officer, a candidate first need to become eligible for the Civil Services examination.
Eligibility criteria: ~~Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam. ~~The age limit is 21-32 years for open category and reservation in upper age limit for reserved category. Once you satisfy the eligibility criteria, you can apply for the exam at www.upsconline.nic.in. After clearing the preliminary, mains and interview of Civil Services exam, you will become IAS officer if your rank is as per ranks alloted to IAS. |

Step I: First of all pursue bachelor's degree in any discipline so that you can become eligible for the Civil Services exam.
Step II: After meeting the eligibility criteria, apply for the Civil Services exam when notification is out in month of May at the official website of UPSC. Step III: Clear the different stages of Civil Services exam like preliminary, mains and interview to become IAS officer. |

IAS is Indian Administration Service. This is a Post which can be get by clearing an entrance exam.Upsc conducts the Civil Service exam for the IAS and other posts in the following three stages:-
Preliminary. Mains. Interview. The basic eligibility criteria for this exam is to have a bachelor degree course in any stream from a recognised university with good percentile. Also the aspirants who are interested to appear in this exam, their age must lie in between 21year to 30 years to be completely eligible for this exam. There is relaxation in age by 5 years for the SC/ST category aspirants and 3 years relaxation for Obc category aspirants. |
