SIR/MAM,i ve to know detailed about IAS exam and what are all the steps is there to write an exam and what are all the requirments i need to study for IAS exam and where i ve buy it and which author and in which optional subject is best for computer science engineer student...

First of all you need to check whether you have the necessary qualifications for IAS. Indian graduates below 30 years are only eligible. Selection is done through 3 stages, CSAT, mains, and interview. Application can be forwarded via the web portal of UPSC. As you are from CS background, selecting computer science as optional subject will be better. Detailed information can be collected from the portal of UPSC.

Firstly check that you are eligible or not you fulfill all the eligibility vriteria or not if you are eligible then you can apply for CSAT 2013. Steps Of exam 1. Written Test (a) Prelims (b) mains 2. Interview Eligibility criteria There are minimum educational qualification is Graduate any stream from any recognized university. final year candidate are also eligible for this exam Age should be minimum 21 and maximum 30 years Age relaxation for OBC 3 year and SC/ST 5 years. Attempts For General 4 For OBC 7 For SC/ST No Limit Important date notification date 02/02/2013 last date of submission: 04/03/2013 Date of prelim exam. 19/05/2013 |

IAS- Indian Administrative Service. This exam conduct UPSC once in a year. ELIGIBILITY: Eligibility points are Nationality Education Qualification Age limit Gender Physical Standards No of attempts You should be indian. Complete Graduation. 21 to 30 years. 3 years relaxation for obc and 5 years for sc/st. Male and female candidates. Physically fit. 4 for General 7 for obc no limit for sc/st.
