To become an Collector, you need to appear in the UPSC Civil services Exams.
You have to qualify this exam and try to get high rank in the merit list, so that you are allocated IAS. IAS officers becomes collectors UPSC Civil services Exams are conducted in three stages: Prelims Mains Interviews Next Prelims exams would be held on 19th may 2013 Eligibilty to apply for this exam is: Bachelors Degree pass in any Stream AGE- Minimum 21 years Maximum 30 years Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations Chances- General candidates- 4 times OBC- 7 times SC/ST- No such restriction |

HI,
If you want to become a district collector then you have to appear for CSAT exam conducted by UPSC every year. You must have heard about IAS(Indian Administration Service ),after clearing the IAS you will become a district collector. But for that you have to appear for CSAT exam.It is very difficult to clear the exam. Eligibility for CSAT: 1.You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age,33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs 2.Four attempts if you are a general candidate , seven if you are a OBC and no limit if you are a SC/ST. 3.You should have a graduate degree from any college which is recognized by UGC, or possess an equivalent qualification. As you are interested to became an Collector for this you have to appear CSAT exam which is held through UPSC every year , There are some eligibility criteria : *The candidates should be a graduate in any stream from a recognize university , the age limit is 21 - 30 yrs , there is a relaxation for reserved candidates. IAS 2013 Exam Dates / Notification:- Civil Services Preliminary Exam Date of Notification:- 02.02.2013 Last Date of Receipt of Applications:- 04.03.2013 Exam Date:- 19.05.2013 (SUNDAY) Civil Services Main Exam Exam Date:- 08.11.2013 (FRIDAY) Duration of Exam:- 21 DAYS * Preliminary Examination: It is of objective type, which is a qualifying examination. * Main Examination: It consists of written examination and interview. my name is dnreddy.my dob is 19.060.1981 and my qualification is ssc.i am working as postman from 17.06.2010 on regular basis in ap circle.present any chance for became a district collector
