Yes, you are eligible to be bank PO (Probationary Officer) and Clerk with any PSU (Public Sector Undertaking) even if you scored 35% in your higher and senior secondary. Eligibility criteria of IBPS (Indian Banking Personnel Selection) don't include marks of higher secondary or senior secondary or graduation all they want is that a candidate must have passed all these from a recognised board or university.

IBPS Exam Pattern :

- Prelims

- Mains

- Interview

For Clerical, only Pre and Mains marks will be considered for final merit and for PO Pre, Mains and Interview.

The minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidates to apply for PO or Clerical positions in Banks is by completion of Graduation.

The percentage of marks that you scored in 10+2 will not be considered for eligibility.

Hence, the candidates who scored less than 50% of marks in 10+2 are also eligible to apply for Bank PO and Clerk jobs provided if they complete Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized University or college.

In addition, academic qualification below is the required age criteria for the candidates to apply for PO and Clerical Jobs.

Candidates of General category should be in the age group of 20-30 years to apply for PO Exam and in the age group of 20-28 years to apply for Clerical Exam.

Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category.

The selection process would consists of the following rounds.
Preliminary Exam
Main Exam
Interview

There is huge competition among the candidates for these Bank Jobs.

Hence I suggest you to start your preparation for Bank Jobs from the very beginning of your Graduation from a top Coaching Institute.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for bank PO or Clerk entrance examination.

The required eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have completed bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

There is no minimum required aggregate in the bachelor or 12th std to appear for the examination.

The examination is conducted in three stages and candidates have to qualify in all stages for their final selection.

As far as you are concerned about the minimum educational requirement for recruitment as bank clerk or bank PO ( probationary officer ) in nationalized banks of India then it is a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Marks and stream of academic degree do not matter for one's eligibility for appearing in bank examination for recruitment at above-mentioned posts.

So as far as you are concerned about the eligibility of a candidate managing less than 50% marks at higher secondary school degree level for the post of bank clerk and PO then I would like to let you know that as above mentioned stream and marks at any academic degree does not matter and so candidate even managing less than 50% marks in their higher secondary school degree are eligible if the candidate satisfies the other requirements too.

The required qualification to appear for Probationary Officer or Clerk examination is that:-

Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognized university.

There is no limitation on discipline and aggregate of bachelor degree or other acdemic qualification to appear for examination.

Candidates after qualifying in all stags will become eligible for final recruitment.

So, you must focus on the preparation of entrance examination.
