Re: Why I should do a Bank Job being an Engineeirng Graduate?
I don't think anybody in right mind would want to go for banking job after completing Engineering course unless of course he/she fails to get job related the field. Even then there are so many other options which perhaps are much better than pursuing the banking job.
To me it is a very poor decision to go for banking job after Engineering. If you are really interested in banking jobs then what is the point of doing Engineering. You can appear in IBPS Clerk exam after completing 12th and IBPS PO exam after completing graduation course. So if someone wants to work for Public Sector Undertaking banks, any graduation degree would be enough. There is no point of doing Engineering course. However if you are eyeing some top management level jobs still you need to do MBA after Engineering. Even in that case there is no point of doing MBA after Engineering just to get banking job. It is better to do any graduation course to apply for MBA course. I would recommend doing BCA instead of wasting 4 years and lots of money on Engineering course. You may remember what Aamir Khan said about in 3 Idiots referring to the person who after completing Engineering pursued MBA and later took the Banking job. I would have pretty much the same opinion. My friend, I don't know that in which branch of Engineering you have completed the B.Tech course, but whichever that may be, I would strongly recommend finding relevant jobs instead of opting for the Banking job. One good example is Public Sector Undertaking jobs which are plenty in offer for the B.Tech graduates. All you need is at least 60 per cent marks in B.Tech then you are eligible to appear in entrance exam conducted by each PSU separately. Based on your performance in the written test, you may get the job in PSU which would offer good pay and job security both at the same time. Another thing that I would recommend is IES exam, which is conducted to recruit Engineers for various government departments. You can also think about applying for this entrance exam and have a great future. There is always the option of going for the private sector jobs. Depending on your Engineering stream, you are entitled of well paid job in private sector. For example Automobile Engineerings are well in demand among the Automakers while Aeronautical Engineers have good scope working for the companies that manufactures military or civilian aircraft. |

Re: Why I should do a Bank Job being an Engineeirng Graduate?
If a Engineering Graduate is interested in a Government job then he can apply for Bank PO.
Most of the Engineers who opt for Bank PO are those who want a more stable job in the form of a Government job. Also many engineers who are from a colleges which are not providing quality education opt for Bank PO. If someone has done Engineering from a Top Level Engineering college then he will never opt for Bank PO because he will get a good job in MNC. There is one more reason and that is they want to work in their home state. Means if someone is a resident of a particular state and he is not getting Engineering job according to his location then he will opt for bank PO. There are specialist officer's posts also in Banks for Engineering graduate. If you are an Engineer and you are not getting job satisfaction then you will definitely want to apply for a job which suits you. So it doesn't matter from what field you have studies if the job doesn't suits you then it will become very difficult for you to work. Hence in the end what matters is job satisfaction and if you are getting job satisfaction in bank PO then you can definitely go for it. |

Re: Why I should do a Bank Job being an Engineeirng Graduate?
people are looking for good oppurtunities today and if any sector is providing it then why not...today about 90% of people dream about that career that make their life better to live instead of making more money...engineering gives you various skills like analytical thinking, problem solving, innovative mind and much more and if any sector is requiring these skills then why not to use in that...ur money is not wasted if ur doing any other job instead of your profession...actually u have been filled with the things u have to be and u r rightly using it..

Re: Why I should do a Bank Job being an Engineeirng Graduate?
There are so many benefits for the candidates after getting a bank Job. That is the reason why many of the candidates are applying for bank jobs even though they have completed Engineering course.
Some of them will be -Job security is high. Once you will be given a job opportunity in a bank, there are no chances of terminating you until and unless you give resignation. -If you have a car, they will provide you the allowance for Petrol. Not only this, you can avail loan from the bank at low interest rate. -There is a chance to do the job in a nearest branch from your location. -If you do a bank job for couple of years, you will come to know the use of various financial products by using the same you can invest your money in stock market and can earn returns on the same. It is not that you have to do the Bank job compulsorily. Those candidates who are interested to do job in Banking sector can apply for the job opportunities in Banking sector. To apply for various entry level positions like POs and Clerks, one should have completed Graduation. If you are interested, I suggest you to apply for IBPS Exams. IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection which is conducting common written exam for the recruitment of various positions on behalf of all public sector banks. Wish you all the best. |
