Hi Sir
I am Studying B.Sc in Agriculture and I wish to be an Agriculture Officer which is conducted by IBPS. I am in 1st year and I have 76% in class 10th and 54% in 12th class. Please tell me I am eligible for IBPS AO recruitment?

Yes you can apply for IBPS Agriculture Officer Recruitment after successful completion of B.Sc (4 years) in Agriculture. You do not need to worry about the percentages you have secured, as there is NO minimum percentage required to be eligible. IBPS releases recruitment notification for Specialist Officer Recruitment every year. IBPS SO Recruitment examination is conducted for several posts namely,

* IT Officer (Scale-I)
* Agricultural Field Officer (Scale-I)
* Law Officer (Scale-I)
* Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale-I)
* HR/ Personnel Officer (Scale-I)
* Marketing Office (Scale-I)

Educational Qualification for Agricultural Officer (Scale-I):

>> Candidates who have passed 4 year Degree (Graduation) in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ Dairy Science/ Agriculture Engineering/ Fishery Science/ Pisciculture/ Agri Marketing & Cooperation/ Co-Operation and Banking/ Agro-Forestry.

Age Criteria:

>> Minimum age - 20 years

>> Maximum age - 30 years

You have completed B.Sc in Agriculture so you are eligible for IBPS AO exam.

Educational qualification for IBPS AO exam:-

Four year degree in Agriculture or allied specializations such as Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Sciences, Dairy Science, Agri Engineering, Fishery Science, Pisciculture, Agri Marketing & Cooperation, Forestry etc. from a recognized university.

Age criteria:-

Minimum age= 20 years

Maximum age =30 years

Being a first year candidate, you are not eligible to apply for IBPS Agriculture Officer Examination. To apply for IBPS AO Examination, you need to crack the Specialist Officer Examination. Minimum Educational Qualification to apply for this examination is that candidate should have completed 4 years degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ Dairy Science/ Agriculture Engineering/ Fishery Science/ Agriculture Marketing/ Co-operation Banking/ Agro-forestry from a recognized university or equivalent qualification. No percentage bar is there to apply for this examination.

Candidate age should be between 20 years to 30 years at the time of appearing for this examination. Upper age limits is applicable for this examination. So, after completing degree course you are eligible to apply for IBPS Specialist Officer AO Examination. No need to worry about the percentage. Minimum Qualifying degree marks is enough to appear for this examination.
