I have completed my graduation after 10th through Bachelor in Preparatory exam from IGNOU. Am I eligible for UPSC civil service exam? 12th not completed. Please guide me?

No, you are not eligible for the UPSC Civil Service examinations after completion of the Bachelor in Preparatory Program (BPP) from IGNOU. Eligibility for appearing in the UPSC Civil Service examination is a pass in Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Therefore, you have to complete the BA course in IGNOU to appear for the civil service examinations conducted by the UPSC. Your age should be between 21 years to 32 years for the civil service examinations. Civil service examination has three parts. They are Preliminary Examinations, Main Examinations and Personality Test (Interview).

Minimum qualification required to appear in civil services examination is graduation in any discipline from a recognised University.
If you have completed your graduation degree from IGNOU then also you are eligible to appear in this examination.

Eligibility criteria to appear in UPSC examination:

- Candidate must have minimum qualification of graduation in any stream from a recognised University either regular or distance.

- As you have done your graduation through IGNOU University still you are eligible for it.
