Can I get job in Indian navy after
completing my B.Sc with Computer Science?

You can get job in Indian Navy after completing B.Sc (Computer Science) through CDS Examination. CDS stands for Combined Defence Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year. CDS Examination is conducted for admission to IMA, INA, AFA and OTA. Those who have completed or appearing in the final year of degree course are eligible to apply. The exam notification will be published in the month of November/December and June/July in the official website of UPSC as well as employment news paper.

Indian Navy Eligibility:

-> The applicant should have completed B.Sc degree with Physics or Mathematics from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
-> The applicant must have attained the age of 19 years and must not have attained the age of 22 years.
-> No percentage bar is there to apply for this examination.
-> No upper age limits is applicable.
-> Those who are appearing in the final year of degree course may also apply.

After completion of B.Sc in Computer Science, you are not eligible for Indian Navy through CDS exam.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service exam.

Educational qualification:-

For Naval Academy: B.Sc with Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering is required

Age Criteria:-

Naval Academy: - 19-22 Years

Generally to apply for the exam ,

~ The candidate shouldhave completed Graduation from a Recognised university
~ The age of the candidate shouldbe in between 19-22 years , for Navy
~ The age of the candidate shouldbe in between 19-23 years , for Airforce
~ The age of the candidate shouldbe in between 19-24 years , for Army
~ The candidate shouldbe a citizen of India.



Selection process:-

2. SSB Interview
3. Medical test

Not eligible for navy or airforce but you can go for OTA
