How many mark of csat is conducted these days? any chances of change in upcoming near future?

CSAT means Civil Services Aptitude Test.CSAT consists of two papers of 200 marks each. So total marks of CSAT is 400.

CSAT I : General Awareness -200 marks -200 questions.

CSAT II : It consists of question from communication skills, logical and analytical ability ,basic numeracy, mental ability,English Language Comprehension skills etc. It is also of 200 marks.

For 2014 CSAT, it was decided that English marks will not be included. There is no sign of change in schemes of CSAT till now. Keep reading newspapers for more updates about CSAT.

CSAT stands for Civil Services Aptitude Test and it is the first stage of the Civil Services Exam which is conducted by UPSC. It is a objective type examination and there is negative marking for each wrong answer which will be 1/3rd of each wrong answer.

There will be two papers in CSAT which will be 200 marks each.

Paper I (200 marks): This paper has objective type questions related to history, geography, current events, economics, environment and climate changes and general science topics.

Paper II (200 marks ): This will also have objective type questions related to comprehension, reasoning, numerical aptitude, English language skills.

Hence, you can prepared for CSAT by keeping in mind the above topics. If you qualify CSAT, then you will be eligible for mains exam.

Actually CSAT refers to Civil Services Aptitude Test and the selection process will be based on the Performance in the Prelims ,Mains and Interview.Here we are providing you the detailed Marks alloted for different Papers.

1.Prelims (Two papers and these two are Objective Type )

Each Paper Carries 200 marks thus Total prelim marks is for 400 marks.

2.Mains Examination :

In which Two Papers are qualifying Nature and Each paper carries 300 marks that means 600 marks for the Qualifying Papers. But these not include in the Total marks list.

This Exam is a Descriptive type and Consists of 7 optional subjects and As per the UPSC notification each carries 250 marks thus Total Main's Examination is for 1750 marks.

Finally Interview is for 275 marks that means Total Merit marks is for 2025 marks.

I would like to clear that CSAT is preliminary test instead of older pattern of UPSC civil services exam.
It is abbreviated as CIVIL SERVICES APTITUDE TEST
It is news pattern of preliminary test by upsc with the increasing competition and selecting suitable candidates.

CSAT consists of two paper as follows :

Exam pattern:- for CSAT
1)paper 1(200 marks)
2) paper 2 (200 marks )
Total of 400 marks

1) CSAT ( preliminary test)
2) main exam
3) interview
4) training
