You can apply for defense sector after completion of B.Tech in IT degree through CDS exam.

Important Tentative Dates for UPSC CDS 2016 Exam 1st and 2nd
CDS 2016 Exam 1st

Starting date of CDS online registration – 7th November 2015
Last Date of Apply Online form – 4th December 2015
Examination date – 14th February 2016
CDS 2016 Exam 2nd

Starting date of CDS online registration – 16th July 2016
Last Date of Apply Online form – 12th August 2016
Examination date – 23rd October 2016

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service exam.

Eligibility criteria:-

Indian naval academy: You should have completed engineering graduation or B.Sc with physics, mathematics subjects from a recognized university.

Indian Air force academy: You should have completed engineering graduation or B.Sc with physics, mathematics from a recognized university.

Indian Military academy: You should have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized university.

Officers Training Academy: You should have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized university.

Age Criteria:-

Indian Military Academy: - 19 to 24 years
Air Force Academy: - 19 to 23 years
Naval Academy: - 19 to 22 years
Officer's Training Academy: - 19 to 25 years

There are no Special jobs for IT Students in Defence sector.

For all B.tech students have chance to enter this sector.

That is UES - University Entry Scheme
After completion of your b.tech , you can apply for different posts in Defence sector
Different Entrance exams to join Defence sector
After completion of your b.tech , you can apply for the post of TECHNICAL OFFICER POST , in ARMY , To apply for this post , you should have a minimum of 60% in b.tech
You can apply for DIFFERENT ENTRANCE EXAMS to join DEFENCE SERVICES like ,
AFCAT EXAM - Air force common admission test
CDS EXAM - Combined defence service exam
TES EXAM - Technical entry scheme

AFCAT EXAM : -
This exam includes 3 branches
1) Technical branch
you should have a minimuim of 60% in your b.tech to apply for this branch
2) Ground duty branch
you should have a minimum of 60% in your b.tech to apply for this post
3) Flying branch
you should have passed in your b.tech to apply for this branch

To join defence after b.tech from IT stream you sh apply for these Departments-
CDS- combined defence services
AFCAT - airforce comman admission test
UES- university entry scheme
TES - technical entry scheme

You can apply for UES, TES in prefinal year of your degree.
For these posts you must score 60%marks from university.
And age limit is 19-25 years.
