Sorry, at the age of 40 you are not eligible for any kind of government job.

Age of candidate must be from 21 to 30 years to get job in public sector. Relaxation is also there as per government norms but after age of 40 years it is not possible for you to get any government job.

For getting job in any of the government or public sector you must have to fulfill the age criteria.

Here is the age criteria for you :

** The minimum age is 18 years.

** The age relaxation for the SC / ST candidates fixed at 45 years and that for OBC / PH candidates at 43 years.

** For candidates belonging to OBC and physically handicapped, the maximum age limit has been raised to 43

** For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe it has been raised to 45.

Age limit Post Wise :

** Bank Clerk: 18 to 28 year

** Bank PO: 20 to 30 year

** Railway: 18 to 33 year

** IAS: 21 to 30 year

** IPS: 21 to 35 year

** SSC CGL: 21 to 27 year

** SSC LDC/DEO: 18 to 27 year

** Teaching Sector: 21 to 35 year

So if you belongs to general category then you are not eligible for any of the government or public sector job.
