How to join Indian army and serve my country?
I am studying 2nd PUC science. I will secure decently about 80. I have good height and body. I want to serve the country. I want to join the army. Please tell me what I have to do now?

How to join Army after 2nd PUC:
The best way to join is through National Defence Academy entrance exam. About NDA entrance exam: NDA exam is conducted by UPSC twice every year. Requirements for this exam is: Academic qualification: Senior secondary passed or appearing for board exams. Age limit is 16.5-19.5 years. Unmarried male candidates can apply for this exam. Stages of this exam: Written test. Service Selection Board. Aspirant who clear both of these exam are eligible for joining Indian Army. |

To join Indian Army and serve the country after completion of your 12th standard Science stream from a Government recognized board, you have to appear in NDA examination which is conducted by UPSC twice a year. Candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination in any stream from a Government recognized board are eligible to apply for NDA examination. You should be at least 16.5 years old and not more than 19.5 years of age to be eligible to appear in NDA examination. You should be an Unmarried Male candidate and you should be physically as well as mentally healthy to be eligible to appear in NDA examination for joining Indian Army to serve the country.

You can join Indian Army after 2nd PUC by cracking National Defence Academy entrance examination. NDA/NA examination is conducted twice every year by Union Public Service Commission.
Eligibility criteria for NDA/NA entrance examination: >>Candidate must have done 12th from a recognized board or appearing for board examination. For Navy and Air Force, Mathematics and Physics is necessary. All streams candidates are eligible for Army. >>Age limit for NDA entrance exam is 16.5-19.5 years. >>Only unmarried male candidates can apply for this examination. |

UPSC conducts CDS (Combined Defense Services) Exam twice a year for recruitment of officers in Indian Army. There is no restriction on minimum percentage of marks to be secured in the qualifying degree. Only the need is that the candidate must have passed.
Eligibility criteria for CDS exam are as under:- - Nationality : Indian. - Educational Qualification: IMA/OTA - Bachelors degree in any stream. Indian Naval Academy -B.E./B.Tech. Indian Air Force Academy - 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics or B.E./ B.Tech. -Age limit: IMA - 19 years to 24 years Indian Naval Academy -19 years to 22 years Indian Air Force Academy -19 years to 23 years OTA - 19 years to 25 years -Selection Criteria : *Written Exam *Interview by Services Selection Board. -Written Exam Pattern: English – 100 marks General Knowledge – 100 marks Elementary mathematics – 100 marks The candidate needs to score at least 40% marks to clear the cut off marks for the CDS exam. |
