To join Indian Railways after intermediate one has to clear the SCRA examination.

SCRA stands for Special Class Railway Apprentice and the SCRA examinations are held by Union Public Service Commission once every year.

The qualifications required for appearing in the same examination are as here under :-

* You must hold the nationality of India.

* Your age must lie within 17 years to 21 years.

* You must have a higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as your main subjects or any equivalent degree with at least 45% aggregate from a recognized institute.

Also the examination is held in two stages which are :- Stage I) General Ability test ( written examination ) & Stage II) Personality Assessment test ( interview ).

For more details regarding the notifications about the upcoming SCRA exams, syllabus and question pattern of the same you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in.
