which books are referred for the exam of sales tax inspector & where ?

Actually if you want to become a Sales Tax officer you need to give a Competitive Exam in National or State Level. In fact to become a Sales Tax officer in State department then you can give exams in the State Level.

Recently Maharastra Public Service Commission has been released the Notification for the post of Sales Tax Officer. So you can apply for this Examination if you are belonging to a Maharstar Resident.

Otherwise you have to wait for the Notification of Individual state PSC exams. Or you may apply for SSC CGL and it is a National Level Examination. But there is some variation when compared with State PSU exam.
