Is it true that DRDO not allows Petroleum Engineers for jobs?


Sir, i want choose petroleum branch in my BE course. My aim is to get a job in DRDO in future. But i have heard that DRDO does not allow Petroleum Engineers to get job there. Is it true?

DRDO has many kind of jobs for engineers and if there are no requirement for petroleum engineers, then they won't consider you for it. Normally, a core engineering stream is the best option to get a job in DRDO.

Petroleum engineers are mainly required in companies which deal with Oil and Gas production. It is a specialized field for those who want to work in companies like ONGC, GAIL, BP, HP, etc.
