After completion of B.A degree, you can join in Indian Army through CDS exam.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service exam.

Eligibility criteria:-

Indian naval academy: You should have completed engineering graduation or B.Sc with physics, mathematics subjects from a recognized university.

Indian Air force academy: You should have completed engineering graduation or B.Sc with physics, mathematics from a recognized university.

Indian Military academy: You should have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized university.

Officers Training Academy: You should have completed graduation in any stream from a recognized university.

Age Criteria:-

Indian Military Academy: - 19-24 Years
Air Force Academy: - 19-23 Years
Naval Academy: - 19-22 Years
Officer's Training Academy: - 19-25 Years

Yes, you can join Indian Army after completion of Graduation (B.A) course. The entrance examination you must write to join Indian Army is "CDSE" (Combined Defense Service Examination) exam. CDSE Examination is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year.

Issue of notification of CDSE Examination - August and March (every year)

There are four cadets which come under CDSE examination, of which you are eligible for "Indian Military Academy" (IMA) and "Officer Training Academy" (OTA) cadets only.

Age Criteria: Minimum age is 19 years and Maximum age is 24 years for IMA and 25 years for OTA.

There are several different branches of Indian Army out of which you can apply to Officer level job after completing graduation. You may have chance to join in Indian Army through Combined Defence Academy (CDS) which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

To join in Indian Army through the CDS entrance exam, must satisfy the below criteria,

-> Applicants must have passed the Bachelor Degree examination in any discipline from any recognized Institution or University and final year applicants are eligible to apply for this examination.

-> The applicant age should be not less than 19 and not more than 24 years.

-> Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

-> Applicants should be physically & medically fit for this exam.

-> The Selection will be based on, Written Test, S.S.B Interview, and Medical Examination
