Which exams I can attend after my electronics and communication engineering?
Hi, I am doing first year electronics and communication engineering. I am interested to know more about core companies based on my course. So, please recommend me for the selection and also answer me for. What are all the exams can be attend based on my course?

To get a job in core industry or for pursuing your higher studies in the same stream, you need to appear in GATE examination which is conducted by IIT/ IISc. Candidates who have passed Bachelor's degree course in Science/ Engineering/ Technology or those who are in final year of the Bachelor's degree course from a recognised university are eligible to appear in GATE examination. You need to secure good rank in the GATE examination to be eligible to attend interviews of core companies or to get admission for pursuing higher studies in top universities.

After competing your bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering you can apply for jobs in core companies. Here are some of the core companies in which you cab apply for jobs:
> BHEL > BEL > GAIL > HAL > SAIL > DRDO > NTPC > IOCL > Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. In order to get a job in these companies you can apply for GATE examination and get in through a valid GATE score. These companies conducts their own entrance examination to select the eligible candidates, so you can appear for that too. |

As you are presently pursuing 1st year of Electronics and Communication Engineering course, you have lot of time to prepare for entrance examinations or else to choose right career. I strongly suggest you concentrate well on B.Tech/ B.E studies first and get good command over concepts that are covered in 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of B.Tech/ B.E. So that by the time you appear in any recruitment's selection process, I am sure it would be easy for you to get a job in the concerned companies. There are several core companies related to Electronics and Communication Engineering. And the listed is given below and in general, the recruitment process consists of Online Test (Written Test), Technical Interview and HR Rounds. You may appear in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Examination in order to pursue M.E/ M.Tech or else to get job in public sector undertaking companies.
