Re: Which subjects to opt for in graduation to have a career in banking
Commerce is the best option if you are interested in banking field job. If you want to get job in government PSU banks then any stream graduation will be sufficient.
IBPS and SBI accept any stream graduation for clerk and PO exams. Selection will be based on the performance in the written exam and interview. |

To get a job in Banking sector, the candidate should complete graduation in any stream like Engineering, Commerce, Medical etc.
However, the candidate can opt for Commerce or science filed. The candidate can complete his/ her bachelor's degree in Commerce field to get into into the banking sector. After completing graduation the candidate should apply for IBPS for various posts through online/ offline for entrance examination. After successfully qualifying in the written examination the candidate is selected for personal interview after which he/ she will get the offer letter for the respective job. |

Re: Which subjects to opt for in graduation to have a career in banking
For Banking exams like Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection Common Written exam for Clerk or Probationary officer, graduates from any discipline are eligible to apply for exam.
So, subjects selection in bachelor's degree do not affect banking exam preparation. You must have good command over areas like Aptitude, reasoning, English and General awareness to excel in banking exams which can be prepared without any subject specialization. You can select any discipline in Bachelor's degree as per your interest. |
