I am an English Teacher in a Primary School.
I have an experience of 23 years as an English Teacher.
I am M.A. postgraduate. Can I do PhD in English?
If yes then please suggest me some universities in Karnataka?

If you have got 55% marks in your M.A then surely you are eligible for admission in Ph.D program without any doubt. Your teaching experience will be added advantage for you during admission because most of the Universities offer admission on the basis of experience. Candidates having at least 5 years of relevant experience in a given field are exempted from entrance exam.

For getting admission in Ph.D one must have a Master's degree in relevant discipline with at least 55% marks from a recognized University. If you belong to reserved category then 50% marks is sufficient for admission. Admission in most of the top Universities is based on the scores in NET/SLET/JRF/GATE. There is no age limit to apply for Ph.D.

You are applicable for Ph.D since you are an M.A with 23 years of experience in the field of teaching.
