Yes, definitely you can study Ph.D from USA after the completion of your MD, there is no problem in it.
Candidates those who have completed their Masters degree from a recognised University with a minimum of 55% of marks in it are eligible to opt for Ph.D courses.
Candidates must have qualified with very good marks in GRE/GMAT and TOEFL in order to take admission in USA to pursue Ph.D courses.
