Sir,
I am studying M.A. in Urdu from Calcutta University.
I want to do PhD after my M.A. in Urdu.
So, sir which entrance exam I have to give?

You can apply for exams like NET/SLET/JRF if you are interested in getting admission in a Ph.D program. Most of the top Universities prefer candidates with any one of these scores. Hence, if possible try to clear any of these exams. Also, make sure you have at least 55% marks in your M.A Udru degree from a recognized University.

If you don't have any of these scores then you can apply for Ph.D entrance exams of individual Universities which is conducted every year. All you have to do is keep yourself updated for the admission notification. Calcutta University releases admission notification every year for admission and you can apply according to the notification.
