As you have done post graduation in mass communication and journalism and want to go for Ph.D in same field, then you can apply for following entrance exams:-

Entrance Exams for Ph.D Mass Communication and Journalism:-

1). Aligarh Muslim University Entrance Exam.

2). BHU Entrance Exam.

3). Pondicherry University Entrance Exam.

3). Andhra University CET.

4). Guru Gobing Singh Indraprstha University CET entrance exam.

5). Delhi University (BMMMC) entrance exam.

6). FTII, Pune Entrance Exam.

Reputed Institutes Offer Ph.D Mass Communication and Journalism:-

1). Aligarh Muslim University, Utter Pradesh

2). Kuru kshetra University.

3). Saurashtra University, Rajkot

4). Karnatka Sate Women’s University, Bijapur

5). Gauhati University.

>> Minimum qualification required to apply for Ph.D mass communication and journalism is master’s degree in same field from government recognized institute with minimum 55% marks obtained.

>> Duraion of doctor of philosophy in mass communication and journalism is 3 years.

In order to pursue PhD in Mass Communication and Journalism course, you are required to appear in entrance examination. There are two kinds of entrance examination's.

> Examination conducted by concerned colleges

> National Level doctoral program entrance examinations

Most of the colleges, conduct their own entrance examinations for offering candidates into doctoral program. On the other side, candidates who have valid score of GATE/ UGC NET/ CSIR NET. ...are also eligible to get admission. Candidates who have valid score of above mentioned entrance examination's are exempted from appearing in concerned college's entrance examination.
