I scored 53.375% in M.A in English.Can I do PhD?What are the procedure to do PhD?

You must appear for the Entrance Examination of various Universities that offer the course of PhD in English.
Once you clear the Entrance Examination there will be a Personal Interview and if you crack the Personal Interview then you will get admission to the course of PhD.
So start your preparation for the Entrance Examination and make sure you have in depth knowledge in your Domain Subjects.

If you belong to General category then you are not eligible for Ph.D admission with 53.375% marks in your M.A English. For a General category candidates 55% marks is the minimum criteria for admission. If you belong to reserved category then only you can apply for Ph.D admission with this percentage.

One has to apply on a prescribed format when the notification is released by the particular University and send it with all the documents related to qualification with the application form. You have to attend entrance exam and interview to get yourself selected for the admission.
