Procedure to do PhD in rural development for a JRF holder?


Dear Sir, I have done M.Sc agronomy with JRF and is having 5 years work example in banking. Now I want to do PhD in rural development. Please guide me in the right path.

Procedure to do PhD in Rural Development in India:

There is a certain procedure to pursue PhD in Rural Development course in India. Most of the colleges are offering this PhD in Rural development course and the admission process generally varies from college to college.

> You are required to meet the basic educational qualification to pursue doctoral program. The minimum qualification required is "Post Graduation" or Master's Degree in concerned stream. As you are done with Master's Degree, I can say that you are certainly eligible to pursue this course.

> You may appear in UGC NET, CSIR NET or concerned college's PhD Entrance Examination in order to pursue this course. Admission is generally done through merit basic, hence I would suggest you to score good marks in any one of the above mentioned examination for further studies.

In order to PhD course in a particular discipline, a candidate must have completed master's degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university. In order to be eligible for PhD in Rural development, you must have to have a master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. You must have to appear and qualify in the NET/CSIR exam in order to take admission for the aforementioned course.

To do Ph.D course in Rural Development, first of all, you must have to gain a Masters degree in relevant field from a recognized University scoring a minimum of 55% of marks in it.
If you satisfy the required criteria, then you are eligible to apply for the NET examination.
After qualifying in the NET examination, you can apply for the Ph.D course in Rural Development. Admission is based on the marks scored in the NET examination.
