CAT stands for Common Admission Test. It is an entrance examination conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) for admission to MBA course. Candidates who have completed Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline with at least 50% marks from a recognised university are eligible to appear in CAT examination. Since, you are pursuing B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) course, after completion of your graduation degree from a recognised university, you are eligible to appear in CAT examination.
