• Need to have minimum 50% in each science subject
• Need to have 50% in English Subject

Selection Process:

• Written Test and
• Interview

Best Reference Books for AIPMT:

• Objective Physics for medical entrance exams by Dr. Pramod Agarwal Vol 1 & 2
• Pradeep’s A Text Book Of Physics With Value Based Questions
• Fundamentals of Physics, by Halliday, Resnik and Walker

Biology:

• OR Trumen’s Objective Biology for medical examinations

Some more tips for preparation:

• Start the preparation as soon as possible.
• Before moving to other books, first understand topics from NCERT Books
• Make note of individual and important sections in subjects

• First be perfect in basic concepts
• Even though you are in class 12, clear all your doubts of class 11 now without any hesitation

NCERT books are enough, if you are able to understand every topic without any problem. The language used in the books cause problem for some student and some student have no problem at all.

Students use different books because they feel that the language of that book is more simple that this book. It is the reason why people refer different books. The best books are those which explain every topic with an example and you don't have any kind of problem in understanding every topic.

Therefore, it is totally up to you decide what is good for your and what kind of books will help you in your medical entrance preparation.

No, I do not consider that NCERT books are sufficient for clearing AIPMT. I would suggest you to also read guide book after preparing well from NCERT books. Also, try to solve as many old model papers as you can to crack AIPMT. It is one of the most competitive exams and so it is better to prepare from other materials as well.
