I have already taken the passport with ECR stamp. Now I wanted to change the ECR stamp to ECNR. So i joined national institute of open schooling. I want to know whether the above mentioned certificate and stamp ECNR are acceptable in India or not? Please advise

Yes, it is very much acceptable in India, you need not worry about it. NIOS certificate holds equal importance as any other board. So, you can very much carry on with your studies and get the stamp a and when required. You will probably not face any problem in future.

NIOS 10th Marsheets is valid for getting NECR. Since the officer reject the NIOS certificate.

I had gone to the passport office in Malad to submit my 10th certificate yesterday 7/7/17which was done from NIOS (national schooling of open university). I was done with the steps like the photo clicking giving the finger prints the documents were accepted by 2 counters, when I had to go on the 3rd counter they just said it's not accepted. We can't accept your marksheets as they are not valid. Even though I had other 2 certificates with marksheets like migration certificate & provisional certificate. Can you please tell me what can I do now since that is only the board I have done my education. And I want to work in gulf countries. I need an ECRN passport. Please advise

Why not vaild nios marksheet for passport. Nios also valid for Indian govt only

If 10th and 12th is equivalent to state board and Central Board and its under MHRD . Then why this MEA is not approving for ECNR Passport . so what is the use of holding that mark sheet . All cannot able to join in college or university. Because of family situation some will go abroad for a job after 12th doing some small better job. For that ECNR passport should have .
