I am an All India Service Officer of Odisha cadre, working outside Odisha. I want to get admission done of my children in Odisha. I want to know if there is any local or non local criteria for school admission?

In private schools there is no such criteria but if you are looking to get admission in state government schools then domiciled candidates of those state will be preferred for admission.

In case of central government schools those who are in government services will be preferred for admission. Hence, you can look for admission in central government schools or private schools .

Yes, the admission will be given to those residing in the same locality or at least within 5 kms radius. It is the main criteria followed by the schools during the admission process. So you have to give the address nearby to the school to get the admission. It is one of the major and important points taken during the admission process by the schools.
