My son was born on 06/01/2014. Can I take admission in Junior KG in normal pre-school. Because I came across that as per government norm the age of the child at the time of grade 1 has to be 6 years. Will I have to go through any other problem while taking admission?

Yes, you are eligible to take admission for your child in Junior KG in normal pre-school as your son is 3 years 6 months old. The minimum age criteria required to take admission in Junior KG in any school is 3 years 6 months. Since, your son was born on 06/01/2014, being a 3 years 6 months old candidate, you can take admission for him in Junior KG in normal Pre-school.

With regret I have to inform you that your son is not eligible for admission in any school for any class at this age, as because the minimum age of a child should be 3 years and 6 months in order to get admission in LKG.
As of now your son is just 3 years old so he is not eligible for admission in LKG, but you can admit him to montessori schools.
Age requires to attain montessori schools is 2.5 years to 3.5 years.

Every school has different rules and regulations but it is also not totally different. According to my knowledge it is 2.5 years- 3.5 years to admit your child in junior classes or pre-school. Also it is declared that your child should be of 12 years when he/she is in class 6th. That is why when your child is 6 years old he/she will be eligible to get admitted in class 1st.
