Hello sir, My daughter has completed 5 years but one of the CBSE private school in Pune refuses to take admission because they want minimum age of 5 years & 6 month. My daughter has passed UKG from Army Pre-Primary School. Please tell me the exact age criteria to take admission in standard 1 of CBSE school?

Age Criteria for admission in 1st Standard of CBSE School:

There is a certain age criteria required to get admission in CBSE based board Schools. Here are the age criteria required,

>> Minimum Age on 31st March of the year in which Admission is Sought is 5 years

>> Maximum Age on 31st March of the year in which Admission is Sought is 7 years

As she has completed the age of 5 years, she is certainly eligible to get admission in 1st standard of CBSE school.

The minimum age required to take admission in 1 standard in any CBSE school is 5 years old.
