In India, army is the most important part of defence.

To join Indian Army you have to fight Civil Defence Services exams i.e. CDS and NDA exams.

Both CDS and NDA exams are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

A. FOR NDA EXAM: -

1. A candidate pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with minimum 50 % aggregate marks from a regonised board.

Indian Army: NCC Special Entry

INDIAN ARMY: NCC SPECIAL ENTRY SCHEME: SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (NT) 29th COURSE – APRIL-2011

Applications are invited for grant of Short Service Commission in the Indian Army from unmarried/ married men and unmarried women or widow of defence personnel.

VACANCIES: 50 for men (10% Reserved for Wards of Battle Casualties of Army only) and 08 for Women.
CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY: (a) Nationality: A candidate must either be : (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) A subject of Bhutan, or (iii) A subject of Nepal, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of’Tanzania, zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will however not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.
AGE LIMIT: 19 to 25 years (not born earlier than 02 Jan 86 and not later than 01 Jan. 92).
The criteria of NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders to appear directly for SSB for Short Service Course (Non Technical) at Officers Training Academy:
Educational Qualification: Degree of a recognised University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years. (ii) Service in NCC : Should have served for minimum two academic years in the senior Division/Wing of N.C.C. (iii) Grading: Should have obtained minimum of B Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC.
(a) For Wards of Battle Casualties holding of NCC ‘C’ certificate is not applicable. (b) Applicants under category of Wards of Battle Casualties send their applications direct to Addl. Dte Gen of Recruiting, Recruiting NCC Entry, West Block-Ill, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066. In such case candidates are required to attach following documents with the application, (i) A letter to the effect that the parent has been killed/wounded/reported missing in action issued by MP/Dte/Respective Regimental Records and a copy of part II order notifying injuries and being classified as Battle Casualties in case of Serving/Medically boarded out pers. (c) Last date for receipt of application at Rtg Dte 15 Sep, 2010 for Wards of Battle Casualties. (d) The vacancies under Wards of Battle Casualties are available to Wards (i) Killed in action, (ii) Died of wound or injuries (other than self-inflicted) (iii) Wounded or injured (other than self inflicted) (iv) Wounded or injured (other than self inflicted) (v) missing (e) Other terms are same as NCC special entry.

Eligibility for Indian Army after 12th

After 12th you can join Indian army as an officer through NDA .
NDA is the National defence academy exam which is conducted

In Indian Army their two type of job category

• Technical job

In Non technical job you will not have any right to do,you have to follow according to orders given by the officer.

Well, Girls are not eligible to appear for NDA exam. So you have to accept the fact.It is good that you are clear about your career.
The only way to achieve your goals is by doing graduation and join as Sort Service Commission Officer through:-
1.CDSE(combined Defence Services Exam) conducted by UPSC
2.NCC Entry
3.Short Service Commisson in Logistics, etc. cadre.

SERVICE SELECTION BOARD TEST (SSB) :
SSB tests for Army are divided in two stages :

Stage I : Stage - I is designed to ascertain the mental fitness of the candidates and to determine whether or not the candidates is fit to take on Stage-II tests. Stage-I test contains four parts as under :

(f) Psychological test (Social Psychology)

U can join indian army in many ways but the most efficient method is to join indian army is that u should qualify through Nda. Forms are available twice a year one in month of April and other in November or October. But ur age should not exeed 19 years

It's a matter of pride that you would like to join indian army. You have chance to appear in direct selection test after high school exam, includes physical and mental ability test.commencement of selection published in daily newspaper or in employement newspaper.
You have other chance in the form of NDA (not for female cadets) if you are from maths stream.

Since your age is 22yrs you wil have to complete your graduation for becoming eligible for Indian Army.
Since you have PCM I suggest you to for BTech or BSc and then apply for army.
After that the opprtunities that you can avail are....

1. Combined Defnce Services Exam conducted by UPSC
2. UES (University entry Scheme)
3. TGC (Techincal Graduate course)
4. NCC Special Entry for candidates having NCC 'C' Certificate

but there are many ways are available with the help of them you can go for INDIAN ARMY .

To join Indian Army after 12th

In order to join the Indian Army after 12th you have to appear for the NDA(National Defense Academy) exam..

The exam is held twice a year..once in April and once in August..the forms shall be available at your nearest book depot prior to a month of the examinations..

In order to appear for the NDA exam..you need to satisfy the following conditions :-

1) You should be a 12th pass out in any stream to join the Indian Army

2) You should be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years

Apart from these..you should have a perfect eyesight and should be physically fit..

You have to first clear the written exam,then the interview and then the medical examination..

the age limit for this exam UPSC exam is 16.5-19.there is nothing about age relaxation for SC\ST\OBC candidates.

Sorry, to say that, you are not eligible for this UPSC [UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION] exam, as you are a girl.
Girls are not eligible for this [NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY] examination.
But you can appear for the CDSE [COMBINED DEFENSE SERVICES EXAMINATION], after graduation from a recognized college.
Through this examination , one can apply for the branches of the Indian army-
1.naval wing
2.air force
3.military branch.

The age limit for this examination, for apply in military branch is 19-25 years.
For apply in navy & in air force, you must have graduation degree in science stream, with maths.
also you must have scored at least 60% in graduation.

There are certain eligibility conditions which you need to satisfy to write the NDA Exam and they may include such as;

After 12th you can join Indian Army through appearing for NDA exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II.

You should be an unmarried Indian having completed 12th within an age group of 16.5 years to 19 years can appear for NDA.

In India, army is the most important part of defence.

To join Indian Army you have to fight Civil Defence Services exams i.e. CDS and NDA exams.

Both CDS and NDA exams are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

A. FOR NDA EXAM: -

1. A candidate pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with minimum 50 % aggregate marks from a regonised board.

2. Age Eligibility For Indian Army - 16 Years to 21 Years.

3. Physical Eligibility For Indian Army - A candidate should be physically and mentally fit.

a. Eye Sight = 6/6,
b. Height = 167 cms,
c. Weight: 50 Kg
d. Chest: 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)

B. FOR CDS EXAM: -

1. A candidate pass graduation in any stream with minimum 50 % aggregate marks from a regonised institute / university.

2. Age Eligibility For Indian Army - 21 Years to 30 Years.

3. Physical Eligibility For Indian Army - A candidate should be physically and mentally fit.

a. Eye Sight = 6/6,

c. Weight: 50 Kg

Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE)

The UPSC conducts this CDSE exam twice a year in the month of February and August/September for the Indian Military Academy and the Officers Training Academy. CDSE also conducts the exam for Navy and Air Force.

those candidates who Unmarried males with Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
are eligible for Indian Military Academy.
those candidates who have Married or unmarried males with Bachelor’s degree in any discipline are eligible for Officers Training Academy.
for Navy and Air Force are required BSc (physics/maths) or a BE/BTech.

Selection is on the basis of an objective type written exam, interview and The intelligence and personality tests essentially cover outdoor, group and psychological activities.
