To be a scientist you must have to make your mind too broad and keep it up to date with your interested field.

To be a scientist you must have to study at least up to doctorate that is you have to complete your P.hd after successful completion of your master degree with at least 50 % marks.

Here i am listing a step by step tips for being a scientist :

** Take the necessary preparatory classes in high school

** Start out with the basics in college

** Declare a major in a field that intrigues you

** Get an internship in college

** Hone your writing skills

** Go to graduate school

** Land a research internship just about anywhere

** Participate in a post-doctoral program

** Keep your knowledge up-to-date

** Continue researching and seek out full-time employment

** Be curious

** Be patient in climbing the career ladder

** Be patient, observation, and think outside of the box

Yes, most of the time it is necessary to complete Ph.d . As P.hd will help you to gain more and more knowledge in your interested topic. It will help you find the answer to the unsolved mystery.

A scientist is the person who discovers or invents something new and contributes the knowledge about it to the world for the welfare and beneficiery of the people.

First of all you should complete graduation in your respected area of study and the post graduation. Uptil now you should be very clear with your research topic and research problem.

You can also join some research institute for job where you can get to learn more and enhance your skills.

Start preparing at the moment by deciding the topic and area of interest to work with.

All the best

No i don't think so. First of all you have to decide which type of scientist you want to be in future. This will determine whether you need to complete Phd or not. There are certain Scientist who can start just after completing their Bsc or M.Sc you don't have to acquire the degree of Phd.

For e.g.
1. You can start the work of Forensic scientist just after completing your Bsc.
2. For the job of biological scientist you need to have minimum Bsc degree for entry level however for most of the post you need to have Phd Degree.
3. To become Scientist in ISRO you need to have atlest Bsc or Btech Degree the pass the entrance exam conducted by ISRO.

However it is beneficial that you complete your Phd then go for Scientist and do research work. Because doing Phd will make you specialised person with better knowledge and skills which will further help you in future in conducting your research work in effective and efficient manner.
