Eligibility for SSC-CGL exam 2016


I am the student of the B tech Final year(8th semester) in 2016. Am i eligible for the SSC-CGl which is being conducted in 2016 and exam may conducted in May 2016

SSC conduct the exam of C.G.L. every year for the posts of Inspector and Assistant in various departments are-

>> Custom department

>> Income tax department

>> Central excise department

>> Revenue department

>> C.B.I.

>> C.I.D.

>> Central Narcotics department

>> Ministry of external affairs

Eligibility for the C.G.L. exam-

>> Candidate should be an Indian citizen and graduate from any recognized university.

>> A Tibetan refugee migrated to India since 1962 for permanent residence can also apply for the exam.

>> A candidate qualified the degree in B.tech, Pharma and in Medical are also eligible to apply for SSC C.G.L.

>> Age of the candidate should be 21-27 years and the relaxation of 3 years to OBC candidates and 5 years to Sc,St and Physically handicapped candidates is provided.

# SSC-CGL Examination stands for Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination.

# Staff Selection Commission holds Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) every year in order fulfill the vacant posts in various department and ministries of Central Government.

# Prescribed educational qualification:

* One must possess any bachelor degree from recognised university.
* Students in the final year of degree are also eligible.
* There is no any requirement of any percentage marks. Only pass percentage marks required.

# Prescribed age limit:

* 18-27 years for General category
* 18-30 years for OBC category
* 18-32 years for SC/ST category
* 18-37 years for Physically Handicapped category.

# Scheme of Examination:

* Tier-I Examination (Objective Type Test)
* Tier-II Examination (Objective Type Test)
* Skill Test (Computer Proficiency Test) or Personal Interview

# General pattern of Tier-I Examination:

* General English (total 50 questions carrying total 50 marks)

SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission.
CGL stands for Combined Graduate Level. It is conducted by SSC for recruitment at various posts under Central Government.

Eligibility to appear in SSC-CGL are
-Candidate must have Bachelor degree in any disciple from a recognized university
-Candidate appearing in final examination of degree program
-Candidate must be of age 18-27 years.

Written examination for SSC-CGL is conducted in two tiers and candidates need to qualify both of them.
After written examination, earlier up to 2015 interview was conducted but as announced by PM on 1st January that no interview will be held further for Non-Gazetted posts and all posts under CGL is Non-Gazetted too so there must be no interview and only written examination.
But SSC has not cleared their stand on this and likely to announce their selection process in Feb-2016.

As appearing candidate can apply for CGL, then you can too apply for the same.

SSC CGL stands for Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level examination. It is conducted every year by SSC.

Eligibility criteria:

>>The academic qualification for most of posts under SSC CGL exam is bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply for exam.

However there are certain posts for which specific qualification is required like:

>>For compiler, bachelor's degree in economics, statistics or mathematics.

>>For Statistical Officer Grade II, bachelor's degree with statistics as one of main subject.

Age limit:

>>For Sub Inspectors in CBI/CID: 20-30 years.

>>For rest of posts: 18-27 years. Upper age relaxation of three years to OBC and five years to SC/ST candidates.

Yes, you will be eligible for SSC CGL exam in 2016 being a final year candidate of bachelor's degree in technology.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for CGL examination. CGL examination is conducted by SSC every year.

Candidates passed graduation can appear for examination if there is between 18--27 years with relaxation in age for reserved category.

The examination is conducted in three stages and candidates have to qualify in all stages for final selection. For more information about examination visit at www.ssc.nic.in.

SSC - Combined Graduate Level Test's eligibility criteria is given here;

Aspirants must possess bachelor degree from any institute listed by UGC to apply in these exams.

By age limit ; 18-27 years and relaxation in upper age limit is given to reserved categories.

CGL stands for Combined Graduate Level Examination and it is conducted by SSC every year.

If your age is between 18-27 years being open category candidates and relaxation for reserved category then you are eligible to appear for examination in 2016.

To appear for CGL examination required qualification is candidate must have passed graduation from any recognised university. The examination is mainly conducted in August.

Qualification:-A candidates must have completed graduation degree.

Age limit:- Minimum 21 years & maximum age limit is 27 years.

Nationality:- Must be Indian citizen

After appearing this examination you can get job in these sectors:-

Income Tax Department

Central Bureau Investigation

SSC CGL is the Combined Graduate Level examination which is actually conducted every year for the selection of candidates under various government services under SSC

Eligibility criteria for SSC CGL:
  1. You should have attained 18 years and not exceed 28 years of age limit
  2. Age relaxations are as per the government specifications
  3. Candidates should possess graduation in any of the discipline of study and there is no particular or specific discipline to appear for the recruitment

These are the main eligibility criteria required to appear for the SSC CGL examination

  • Tier II Examination
  • Interview or Skill Test
