i have done BE in Instrumentation and Control engineering from NSIT, dwarka.
i need some books name for psu like bhel, ntpc, gail, eil etc

The candidates are shortlisted for all these Public sector undertakings on the basis of rank and marks scored in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

Most of the PSUs nowadays first shortlist candidate on the basis of GATE scorecard and then they conduct group discussion and personal interview for final recruitment.

The reference books for preparation of Public Sector undertakings like National Thermal power Corporation, Bharat Heavy Electronics Limited, Gas Authority of Indian Limited etc is as below:

1. Electric Measurement and Instrumentation by A.K Sawhney.

2. Linear Control system by B.S Manke.

3. Automatic Control system by B.S Kuo.

4. Microprocessor by Ramesh Goankar.

5. Digital electronics by Morris Mano

6. Analog electronics by Gayakwad

7. Electric Machines by Nagrath and Kothari.

8. Power electronics by P.S Bhimbra.

Refer to Schaum series for numerical questions of each subject. Go for the previous years papers of GATE entrance exam and PSU recruitment exam for understanding the pattern of questions asked and weightage of different subjects in entrance exam.
