Actually it is not possible to go for Chartered Accountancy course after 10th standard. You see the first stage of CA is called Common Proficiency Test (CPT). You can only appear for this test after completing 12th. Although since you have completed 10th, surely you can register for it.

Therefore first step for you would be to complete your school education. Finish the 12th standard and then only apply for the Chartered Accountacy course. Like I said it would start with Common Proficiency Test. You will have to pass the CPT test.

Common Proficiency Test.

CPT test is conducted twice a year. First time in June then in December. There are 4 subjects in CPT. These subjects have been divided into 2 sections. According to the recent changes you need to obtain 30 percent marks in each section to pass the Common Proficiency Test.

1. Fundamentals of Accountancy

2. Economics

3. Mercantile Law

4. Quantitative Aptitude

Integrated Professional Competancy Course (IPCC)

There are basically two ways to pursue CA. You can either complete 12th and then apply for Common Proficiency Test or the other way is to complete graduation and directly apply for the Integrated Professional Competancy Course.

For direct admission, commerce graduates need 55 percent marks while non-commerce graduates need 60 percent marks in their respective graduation degrees.

Group 1

1. Accounting

2. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication

3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management

4. Taxation

Group 2

5. Advanced Accounting

6. Auditing and Assurance

7. Information Technology and Strategic Management

Final Course

Upon completing Inegrated Professional Competancy Course, you are eligible for the Final Course. After finishing it, you will become Chartered Accountant and apply for firms or start your own services.

Group 1

1. Financial Reporting

2. Strategic Financial Management

3. Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics

4. Corporate and Allied Laws

Group 2

5. Advanced Management Accounting

6. Information System control and Audit

7. Direct Tax Laws

8. indirect tax Laws

After passing class 10th, you cannot register for CA programme.

The first stage of the CA programme is CPT

Candidates who have appeared in class 12th exam or have passed class 12th exam can register for the CPT exams.

In the CPT exams questions are asked from the below sections:
Fundamentals of accounting
Mercantile LAWS
General economics
Quantitative Aptitude

All the questions are asked in objective mode only
Candidates scoring minimum 50% marks are declared as pass

-> CPT :- Common Profiency Test
it is the entrance exam for doing C.A
It consists of 200 questions with 200 marks one needs to secure 100 marks to get into another level of C.A
-> After completion of CPT , IPCC is there which is of 2 years ( some what difficult for average students ) .
-> After IPCC , articleship for 1 year ( getting training in the guidance of experienced C.A .
-> After this , finals are there which is the deciding stage of becoming C.A .
one needs to do hard work to crack finals .

First you will have to pass 12th exam...then appear for ca entrance i.e.cpt having duration of 6 months. After clearing that appear for ipcc duration 9 months....then articleship registration under any CA for 3 years and then the final exam.
