Errors for different type of inputs and stability criteria for feedback systems. Stability analysis using Routh-Hurwitz array, Nyquist plot and Bode plot. Root locus and Nicols chart and the estimation of gain and phase margin. Basic concepts of compensator design. State variable matrix and its use in system modelling and design. Small signal amplifiers, biasing circuits, frequency response and improvement, multistage amplifiers and feed-back amplifiers, D.C. amplifiers, Oscillators. Large signal amplifiers, coupling methods, push pull amplifiers, operational amplifiers, wave shaping circuits. Multivibrators and flip-flops and their applications. Need Syllabus For IES i.e Indian Engineering Services conducted by upsc every year.

Overview of the pattern of the Exam.

It is having Two sectional Papers One is Objective papers which is having 2 hrs of General English and General Studies and even 2 hrs of Electrical Paper .

2nd is Conventional papers with 3 hrs of Paper I (Electrical Engineering) and 3 Hrs Paper II (Electrical Engineering).Total comes to 1000 Marks paper.

Syllabus consists of Following Topics :-(For both objective and conventional types papers)

PAPER - I

1.EM Theory

Schedule for IES exam 2011 is as follows:-
Date of notification: 08.01.2011
Last date for receipt of application: 07.02.2011 (MONDAY)
Date of commencement of exam: 14.05.2011 (SATURDAY)
The duration of exam will be 3 DAYS.

The scheme of examination is as follows:-
There are 2 sections.
Section-1 consist of objective & conventional papers.
Section-2 will consist of personality test.

Section-1 will consist of questions related to your field of engineering.
Objective paper will consist of General Ability test(General English & General Studies.)
It will be of 2 hrs for 200 marks.
Conventional paper will consist of 2 papers of 2 hours for 200 marks each & 2 papers of 2 hours for 300 marks each.
Total it will be of 1000 marks.
Personality test will consist of candidates mental ability,leadership & thinking quality,application of there knowledge,etc,
