If you are a residential candidate of India then you are eligible for IAS exam.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. IAS exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. IAS exam is conducted one time in a year.

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for IAS exam.

Age criteria:

For General: 21 to 30 years
For OBC: 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

No. of attempts:

For General: 3
For OBC: 7
For SC/ST: No Restriction

Selection process for IAS exam:

1)Preliminary test
2)Mains exam
3)Personal interview

If you are Indian Citizen and just went abroad for your Graduation purpose then your eligible to apply for IAS exam.

IAS comes under Civil Services exam which is conducted by UPSC.

To appear for Civil Services exam :-

Candidate should have completed Graduation or an equivalent from a Recognized University.

Graduation should be minimum of 3 years .

Age need to be minimum of 21 years and maximum of 30 years.

Age relaxation is for Reservation category candidates.

Candidate belonging to General category can appear only 3 times where as OBC candidate can appear for 7 times and a Sc/ST candidate can appear any number of times till his age criteria satisfies.

You need to be citizen of INDIA.
