Clinical Pathology is a branch of medicine, which is called by this name in some countries, while it is referred by other names like laboratory medicine, clinical/medical biology and clinical analysis in some countries.

It is a branch of medicine that deals with the identification of diseases on the basis of lab analysis of bodily fluids like tissues, urine and blood with the help of tools of molecular pathology, hematology, microbiology and chemistry. For getting into to the Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pathology course, candidates must have completed their MBBS with internship from an institution that has earned approval from the Medical Council of India.
