Eligibility requirement for seeking admission to Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering course:

For getting into this course, candidates must have completed their Class X examination from a recognized board. Most of the government colleges prefer that candidates must have completed their class X examination from the same state board in which the college is located. However, admission is also offered to candidates with school leaving certification from any other recognized state board, with the condition that candidates from other state boards will have to obtain eligibility certificate from the technical education board of the state in which they seek admission.

Higher studies after diploma in computer science and engineering course:

After successful completion of Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering course, candidates can go for B. Tech or B.E in Computer Science and Engineering by joining directly to the second year of these courses. Many institutions are offering lateral entry facility to diploma holders and in most of the cases admission to diploma holders is offered based on the merit secured by them in the diploma course. Even some universities or institutions conduct entrance examination for lateral entry candidates as in the case of first-year entrants after higher secondary.

Another higher education option available for diploma holders in computer science and engineering is getting into the second year of the BCA course, which is offered by many quality higher education universities and institutions in India. Even these candidates can go for PGDCA, ADCA and other related courses as well.

Job prospects for Diploma holders in computer science & engineering:

Computer Science & Engineering diploma holders have a wide option when it comes to industries in which they can find job placements and they are:

    I had passed diploma in Electrical Engineering from Govt.Polytechnic Khandawa in May/June’94′ but Certificate of diploma passed in Electrical Enggineering not taken from the institution.How I get now?
