GSEB is the medium of understanding a student’s competitiveness in field of Mathematics by means of a written exam held annually. The students who have opted Mathematics as a subject in the 12th grade have to sit for a centralized exam. The exam is held in Gujarati, but students can chose an alternative language for the writing the exam.

The duration of the exam is 3 hours and is worth a maximum of 100 marks. The question paper is divided in 5 different sections. The instructions are given on first page specifies each section to begin with a new page.
Section A consists of 15 multiple choice questions, with each question having four options. Students have to select the correct solution from the options available. Each correct answer is worth 1 mark.

Section B consists of 15 single mark questions.

Section C consists of 10 questions carrying 2 marks.

Section D consists of 10 questions. Each question carries 3 marks.

Section E consists of 5 questions each carrying 5 marks. There are multiple-choice questions included sometimes. Make sure to read the question correctly and explain the solution in detail to fetch the full marks in this section.
