Guru Nanak Dev University conducts MCA Common Aptitude Test PAMCAT for the admission of the candidates to the Master of Computer Application (MCA) course in various departments, Institutes and Colleges affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University, Punjabi University, Punjab Technical University and some integrated institutes.

Structure of Guru Nanak Dev University PAMCAT

The Guru Nanak Dev University PAMCAT question paper will consist of 5 sections. All the sections will have 50 objective type questions. 45 minutes will be allotted for answering each section. The correct answer will be awarded 1 mark. There shall be no negative marking. The candidates are required to answer first 3 sections compulsorily. They have to answer any one among Paper IV and Paper V. The candidates can decide themselves which section to choose.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates those who have any recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum three years duration, with Mathematics at 10+2 school level are eligible for the Guru Nanak Dev University PAMCAT. Those who have passed BCA of minimum three years duration from any recognized University are also eligible.

How to Apply?

The aspirants can apply online for the Guru Nanak Dev University PAMCAT from the website www.metpamcat.org. Before the form filling procedure, one has to deposit the application fee of Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 750/- for SC/ST / PH candidates) in any branch of State Bank of Patiala after taking the print out of deposit slip. After payment of fee, one has to fill the application form online by clicking on the Application Form link. The application procedure consists of 4 stages. All the details have to be properly entered. After filling the form completely, click on the submit button.

How to fill the Form?

• Read the information brochure before form filling
• No columns should be left blank
• Deposit ID and all other details should be correctly entered in the application form
• Attach a passport size recent photograph of the candidate which is saved in JPEG format
• Before clicking the submit button, go through the details entered. If there are any mistakes, correct it by clicking the Edit button
