The ICFAI University of Tripura is a university in the North-eastern states of India. ICFAI University stands for the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India. This university was set up with an aim of providing education in finance and management to everyone including the students, working people, executives and the professionals of India.

The University offers a number of courses in management, banking, finance, accounting, insurance, law, IT, commerce, arts, science and technology. It provides bachelors and master’s degree. The courses include full-time courses & distance learning programs. Admissions in various courses are on the basis of qualifying marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination as considered by the university or merit in qualifying examination conducted by the university itself. The candidate applying for the course must also satisfy the eligibility criteria before applying. Admission may also require clearing prior-interview sessions.

Another facility provided by the University is that it allows enrolment of private candidates in more than one program. The candidate must satisfy the criteria of eligibility. However, the private candidate would not be provided by any courseware or any classes for the program. No support services would be provided. If a candidate enrols in more than one program, he/she has to prepare for it on his/her own, must work according to the curriculum and attend the examinations on time abiding by the rules and regulations of the University.

The centres and branches of the University are located within Tripura. There are no other branches or centres of the university. It is located at kamalghat, sadar to the west of Tripura.

The University has a number of facilities for its students including fully fledged, well equipped laboratories for different subjects like electrons, electrical, microprocessors, mechanical, science, English and soft skills, library with a rich collection of books belonging to different subjects, computer centre with systems for the students to work on, workshops etc.
