Institute of Microbial Technology is the reputed institute and a group of council of Scientific and Industrial Research approved by Government of India. Institute is conducting admission process to PhD courses offered by the University for which there would be a walk in interview. IMTECH invites exceptionally motivated candidates who have passed M. Sc and have cleared CISR – UGC, DBT-JRF examination for pursuing Doctoral research at IMTECH under the aegis of PhD Degree Program being jointly run by I M. Tech and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). IMTECH is multidisciplinary Institute with excellent research facilities and faculty with interest in many different areas of modern biology and biotechnology.

The institute is one among the best national level laboratories under the roof of council of Scientific and Industrial Research. This is one of the youngest laboratories. Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates who are willing to apply for the PhD program in IMTECH should have passed M.Sc and cleared CSIR-UGC (NET), DBT-JRF examination (‘A’ Category), or ICMR-JRF examination

(Not the NET Lectureship or those selected for working in ICMR projects only ).

NOTE:

• Those coming for interview must be prepared to be present in Chandigarh for three days, which is the approximate time require to finalise the admission of successful candidates.

• Immediately after selection/ admission selected candidates will be assigned labs and require to pay Rs 3000/- in cash towards registration.

• The decision the director regarding selection/ admission of the candidates shall be final.
