Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board was established in the year 1971 as a celectricity board in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The board was established in accordance with the Electricity Act, 1948. The board is responsible for promoting the development of power generation, trasmission and distribution of electricity within the state. The board is consist of a Chairman and six other members. The board is located at Shimla, India. Mr. R. D. Dhiman (IAS) is the present Chairman cum Managing Director of the board.

Job Profile:

Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board invites applications in the prescribed format for filling up the following positions of idfferent categories. This is a special drive under Persons with Disability. Candidates will be recruited urely on contrcat basis only.

1. Recruitment of Junior Engineer (C/M):
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have done atleast Matriculation alongwith Diploma in Civil or Mechanical or Automobile Engineering from a recognized university.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 15250 per month.

2. Recruitment of Junior Engineer (Elect.):
No. of posts: Only 20 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have done atleast Matriculation alongwith Diploma in Electrical or Electronics or Electronics and Communication or Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized university.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 15250 per month.

3. Recruitment of Clerk:
No. of posts: Only 10 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have done 12th with atleast 55% mars in aggregate or Graduation in any discipline with 55% marks from a recognized university. Minimum speed of 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Hindi typewriting is also required.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 8700 per month.

4. Recruitment of Steno Typist:
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have done 12th with atleast 55% mars in aggregate or Graduation in any discipline with 55% marks from a recognized university. Minimum speed of 30 words per minute in English and Hindi typewriting is also required.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 8700 per month.

5. Recruitment of Electrician (M&T):
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation with ITI certificate in Electrician or Instrumentation discipline from a recognized institute of H.P. Government.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 9450 per month.

6. Recruitment of Electrician:
No. of posts: Only 5 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation with ITI certificate in Electrician discipline from a recognized institute or board, is required as the minimum educational qualification for this post.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 9450 per month.

Age Limit:

Candidates should have age in between 18 to 45 years as on the last date of reciept of application. Age is relaxable for the reserved categories candidates as per the rules of Government of Himachal Pradesh.
