Eligibility Criteria for M.Des

Masters Degree in Design needs a full time bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in any design discipline. Some of the eligible streams are like Fashion / Textiles / Accessories / Graphics / Communication). In addition, some other streams like B.A. (Fine Arts), B.Sc. (Textiles & Clothing), B.Tech (Textiles) or Design Diploma from NIFT / NID. There is an all India entrance exam named CEED carried out by IIT. After clearing the test, aspirants can attend the interview.

There is a good demand for designers as more and more companies are entering this field. Many opportunities are waiting for those who finish the M.Des course. Chances are available in the self-employment area also. The pay scale is very attractive. Sometimes the payment is based on the designs they make.
