Medical Officer - Union Public Service Commission
Union Public Service Commission was established by the Government of India on the 1st of October 1926 and it is working as a constitutional body of the Government of India. It is authorized for conducting examination for recruitment of candidates to different civil services in the country.

Union Public Service Commission has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Medical Officer for the Directorate of Health Services of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration.
Name of the Position: Medical Officer (Vacancy No.11071408123)
Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies in 27, which is divided among the different categories as follows
• ST – 02
• OBC – 06
• UR – 19
Out of the 27 posts, one post is reserved for candidates with physical disability like hearing impairment/low vision.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100/- (PB-3) + Rs.5400/- (Grade pay) + plus NPA as admissible. Approximate Total Emoluments would be Rs.31,710/-
Eligibility requirements:
Educational qualification: Candidates must possess a recognized medical qualification included in 1st of 2nd schedule of second part of 3rd Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Candidates should also have completed their compulsory internship after the medical degree. Even candidates who have not completed their internship can apply, but if selected they should complete internship before appointment.

Application fee:
Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs.50 towards Central Recruitment fee stamp only. This fee is not applicable to women, PH, ST and SC candidates.

if a candidate has cleared Bsc in microbiology,can they apply for medical officer upsc ???
Is BAMS degree holder is eligible?
can bams degree holder can apply for it
Can bds,bams or bpt degree holder can apply for it
I am a BDS graduate . Can I also apply for the post of Medical Officer ?
