Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (SRTMUN) offers M.Phil courses I in subjects such as Geography, Microbiology, Media Studies, Marathi, and Zoology. Master degree holders in the concerned subject with a minimum of 55% marks can apply. Eligible candidates can seek admission on the basis of a written test and marks obtained at PG level. Seventy five (75) percent weightage will be given for marks scored written test and the rest for PG level marks.

Admission Process for M.Phil in SRTMUN

Only limited number of seats (10 or 20) is available for admission to M.Phil degree. Eligible candidates can seek admission on the basis of a written test conducted by the concerned department. Marks obtained at PG level are also taken in to consideration. Seventy five (75) percent weightage will be given for written test and the rest for PG level marks.

Master degree holders (in the concerned subject) with a minimum of 55% marks or Grade B as prescribed by UGC can apply. The qualification must be obtained in the related or relevant subjects.  A minimum of 50% marks is enough for reserved category candidates.

Entrance test conducted for admission comprises two different sections for 100 marks. Marks are distributed equally among two sections. First section include 50 multiple choice questions which must be completed within time duration of 50 minutes. This section is common for all candidates and contains questions from the following topics.

  • Research and language aptitude
  • Numerical ability
  • Reasoning
  • General knowledge

The number of questions for second section is also 50. Duration for completing this section is 50 minutes. Candidates can expect subject related questions in this section. Qualified candidates in written test are asked to attend a face to face interview. Verification of mark sheets and other important documents are done at this stage.
