National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Exam (I) General Ability Papers
National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Exam is conducted for recruiting candidates for the posts in Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air force. Candidates are selected based on a written test and an interview. After that the candidates are trained for 4 years. The In the last year they get their professional training. The Army candidates are trained at Indian Military Academy (IMA), the Navy candidates are trained at Naval Academy and Air Force candidates are trained at Air Force Academy.
Exam Pattern
In written test the candidates have to appear for General Ability and Mathematics papers. The General Ability paper is of 600 marks and has 2 parts. Part A is English and maximum mark is 200. The syllabus of English covers various things like Grammar, vocabulary, comprehension etc. Part B contains General Knowledge question papers and broadly covers Physics, Chemistry, Social Studies, Geography, General Science and Current Affairs. Questions from Physics are of 100 marks, questions from Chemistry are of 60 marks, questions from General Science are of 40 marks, questions from History, Freedom Movement etc. are of 80 marks, questions from Geography are of 80 marks and questions from Current Events are of 40 marks.
