National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli is one of the most elite Institutes of Engineering within the NIT genera. Not only Technical based, but the Institute also offers a uniquely designed two year Management based course of MBA. The Institute has established the Department of Management Studies (DoMS) that is responsible for the proper orientation as well as implementation of MBA program in the Institute. The Institute has been on such a scale of success that it has been designated as one of the best B-School in the Southern India. The NIT DoMS was established in the year 1982 and has been ever since provided a high grade management based education.

National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli undertakes admission of the candidate through CAT Scores. Even then also the candidates have to apply for the Management based course in a separate form. The candidates who are short-listed through the assessment of the CAT Score are then called for the following admission procedure. These candidates have to go through a General Discussion and then are called for Private Interviews. The candidate’s are then finally selected for the course based on the assessment of all the marks obtained in the three steps of admission procedure.

Eligibility criteria:

A candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised institute with atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Graduation. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.

Availability of Application forms:

Application forms for MBA programme of NIT-Tiruchirappalli will be available directly from the institute and can also be obtained by post by sending a request for the form along with a demand draft. The form can also be downloaded through the website www.nitt.edu.

Selection process:

Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their CAT scores. The shortlisted candidates are then called for further selection process consisting of a Group Discussion and Personal Interview after which the final selections are made.
