Structure of Osmania University Ph.D in Environmental Science Entrance Exam

The question pattern of Osmania university Ph.D entrance test is of objective type. The total number of questions for the entrance test is 100 and the time allotted for the completion of the same is 90 minutes. The questions will be asked in English medium. General category candidates should score a minimum of 30% marks in the qualifying examination. Backward category candidates and SC/ST candidates require a minimum of 25% and 20% marks respectively to pass in the admission test. Those who pass in the written examination should get through an interview process, to get admitted to the course.

Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants who have completed their master’s degree in environmental science are eligible to apply for the entrance test. The PG degree must be passed from a recognized educational institute with minimum 55% marks. Those who have completed their qualifying degree through distance mode are also eligible to apply for the test. In such case Distance Education Council (DEC) should recognize the University that offers the PG degree through distance mode.

How to apply?

The candidate can procure the application form for the Ph.D entrance test through a variety of methods. It can be directly got from the administrative office of the Osmania University. The form costs Rs.100/-. Another way of request can be done through post. In such cases, the application fee must be send in the form of DD of Rs.100/- taken in the name of “The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University”.  The DD amount must be payable at Hyderabad. The aspirant should include a self-addressed cover along with the request for the application form. Procured application must be filled up completely and submitted along with a DD of Rs.550/- . The DD amount must also be taken in the same address as mentioned above.

How to fill the Form?

The candidate should make out the instructions clearly, before filling the form. All the columns of the application must be filled accurately and completely. Photographs and sign must be made on places wherever necessary. After entering the details correctly, the application must be subjected to a rechecking process.
